How to choose

Every platform on this page can sell a recorded lesson. The differences come down to three questions.

1. Where do your students buy and watch?

Uscreen, Passion.io, Kajabi and Teachable host your library on their site. Your students sign up there, and their accounts, emails and order history live on that platform. If you leave, you start again. BOS adds the library to the WordPress site you already have: lessons are WooCommerce products, checkout is your checkout, and the customer list is yours. If you do not have a website and do not want one, a hosted platform is the simpler choice.

2. Flat price or a share of every sale?

A percentage fee is small when you start and grows with you. On $2,000 of sales in a month, BOS Pro costs $29. Passion.io’s $99 plan plus 3.9% comes to $177, and Uscreen’s $49 plan plus $1.99 per subscriber reaches $149 with 50 students. Your payment processor (Stripe or PayPal, typically 2.9% + 30¢) applies on every platform, including BOS. If you expect to sell very little, the difference is a few dollars; if you expect to grow, it is the biggest line on this page.

3. Is the app the point, or the next step?

A branded app in your own name is included in the BOS App plan at $149 a month. On Uscreen it starts at $449 a month and on Passion.io at $239 a month; Marvelous does not offer one. If you need the app on day one and your students are not on your website yet, Passion.io is built for that. If you want to start on your site with the free plugin and add the app when students ask for it, that is the BOS path.

Where the others fit better

BOS is for recorded audio and video lessons. It does not run live classes, bookings or memberships with timetables, so a studio that lives on its schedule is better served by Marvelous or Momence. Uscreen ships TV apps; Teachable has quizzes and certificates for structured courses; Kajabi bundles the marketing tools around the course. If one of those is the core of your business, pick the platform that does it well and treat recorded lessons as the add-on.

How we compared

Prices and fees are taken from each vendor’s public pricing page in October 2026, using the lowest plan that sells recorded video, billed monthly. We note the first plan that includes a branded mobile app, whether the platform runs on your own WordPress site, and whether it supports Hebrew and right-to-left layouts. We do not test features we cannot see from the outside. If a price has changed, write to [email protected] and we will update the page.

Keep your site. Add the lessons.

Accounts are approved by hand, usually within a day. The plugin and up to 5 lessons are free.
